Wonderful Views and Friendly Service

I had a delightful stay with beautiful views of the lake from my balcony. The staff was incredibly welcoming, always greeting us with smiles. The lodge maintained a charming old-time feel while still being clean and cozy. Although I wished for more dining options around the lodge, overall, it was a fantastic retreat.

The welcoming atmosphere started with friendly staff who greeted us warmly upon arrival. A highlight was enjoying the balcony with a stunning lake view, where I wished I had citronella candles to enhance the evening experience. The cleanliness of the pet-friendly lodge impressed me, demonstrating the staff's dedication to maintaining this old-fashioned charm. Renting a pontoon was straightforward, with fair pricing adding to our satisfaction during the two-night stay.

The scenic hiking trails offer a unique opportunity to explore the surrounding natural beauty, making daytime adventures truly enjoyable. The lodge features rocking chairs on the porch, perfect for unwinding and soaking in the picturesque views.

Key issues included the restaurant being closed on Monday and Tuesday, which made finding meals a hassle since there’s no fridge or microwave in the room to store or heat food. The continental breakfast could use a serious upgrade. it only included apples, bananas, some cereal, and granola bars, which didn’t quite cut it for fueling a day of exploration. We also found our queen room could’ve used better upkeep. the lingering odor from winter paint and dried paint around the windows wasn’t exactly welcoming. Lastly, the picnic table outside was overly mildewed, indicating it had seen better days.

The stay featured a beautiful property with blooming trees and a comfortable room that included a balcony overlooking the lake. The staff, particularly at the front desk, were exceptionally friendly and made personal connections, creating a welcoming atmosphere. However, dining options were somewhat limited for vegetarians, with minimal meals available beyond the veggie burger and salads. Additionally, while the location was quiet and peaceful, further menu creativity could enhance the dining experience.

The lodge is in a great spot for nature lovers. I loved using the hiking trails, they were well marked and had amazing wildlife, really made me appreciate the outdoors.

It wasn’t exactly cheap, but I guess you pay for the experience.

The Queen Room was pretty comfy! I loved that it was pet friendly and offered nice privacy. The bed was cozy, and the housekeeping was chill. they didn’t barge in, which I appreciated. Just empty your own trash when you need to! Plus, the views from the balcony were a nice touch. Felt like a home away from home.

The views here are breathtaking, like something straight outta a post card. I spent hours reading in the library, lost in my thoughts – felt like nothing else mattered in that moment.

It wasn’t super cheap, but considering the experience, it’s still acceptable.
